In order to optimally brew coffee Hario designed the cone with a V-shape design. There is also a large hole at the bottom of the V60 dripper. This ensures that the hot water can be poured slow or fast; thoroughly extracting all the goodness from the beans. The reason for V60 spiral ribs is to help air-flow.
Tip: For paperless taste of coffee you have to warm up the device first with the Hario Kettle, pour hot water on the V60 filter papers and you are ready to make fantastic coffee..
